Massage modality
Reflexology
Pressure-point work on the feet to relax the whole body and ease tension.
Typical session: 30–60 min
Reflexology is based on the beneficial reflexes produced by massaging points on the feet — nerve and energy channels that connect to all parts of the body. By working them in a specific way (with the thumb and forefinger), the therapist stimulates glands, organs and muscles, helping to treat and prevent disorders. Sessions last 40–50 minutes, with up to 20 minutes per foot; the ideal frequency is one or two sessions a week.
